Provide a 64 bits version of Metatogger
Hi, do you also prepare a 64bit version?
Thank you!
PS: any possibility to rename files with simply ARTIST - Song.mp3 (like, for example, with Tag&Rename) ?
Can you adda the shell integration with the system? (ie when you right click a file Meatogger option to search for the file name)
Thank you! Great job, thinking about a donation!
A 64-bit version of Metatogger will be released in the next few weeks.

Just went to try metatogger on my set of ~17,000 files, unfortunately it just crashes as it exceeds the 2GB memory limits of a 32bit application. Any chance of a 64bit build to get around this?
Apparently there's a way to link that may give it access to the full 4GB at least, but honestly a 64bit build would be easier and avoid another potential hard limit. (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/639540/how-much-memory-can-a-32-bit-process-access-on-a-64-bit-operating-system)

64Bit may give no more performance, but loading >10k files with a lot of metadata just crashes and RAM is getting to 2GB. Also other software has seen a big improvement simply by 64Bit to handle larger sizes

I would say that moving to 64bit eventually is a good idea. With the new macOS 10.14 developer preview it is now warning that the next version, 10.15, will no longer support 32bit and will drop support entirely for 32bit programs. I suspect Microsoft will eventually make this move as well and drop 32bit entirely as there is really no reason to be running a 32bit version of Windows in 2018 and it will only make less sense as time goes on. It's better to be ahead of the curve and i do honestly suspect 32bit will die in the next couple of years, it already died on the mobile side of things.

I also had memory issues, Metatogger sent crash report, maybe you can see it is a memory topic...

Metatogger is really unique in manually edition tags. The limitation is that when you open quite a lot files Metatogger just crashes. I guess because of 2GB memory limit or less. Current PC has sufficient RAM, but it is not used because of 32bit...

Do not expect more performance with a 64 bits version.
You can vote for performance improvement here, if you think that is an issue:

.Hi, thank you!
No memory problems, just program responses a little slow...guess it has nothing to do with 32 or 64...How about the other suggestions (like shell integration and file rename)?
